Thing 10 - Online Productivity Tools

I created the following using ZOHO and published it to my blog! #EXCITING!

  1. Great point about the elimination of compatibility issues. And having just paid for a version of Office Suite, I completely agree that the free part is a major bonus.

  2. Exactly! And you have to wonder what the TRUE value of the Suite is when regular consumers have to pay upwards of $200+ and a college student (like me with the right connections) can get it for $15!

  3. Lesley--first of all, you got Microsoft Office for $15????? Wow, I need to talk to you since I don't have Office on my home computer. But then again, as you pointed out, it might be superfluous at this point, with options like Zoho Writer. The other thing I like about Zoho is that it looks as if a person can "collaborate" or share a document with others, which I've done with Google Docs. Makes projects and group planning so much easier! Fewer emails to wade through.

  4. Google Docs and Zoho are awesome, their flexibility to be accessed anywhere as long as you connected, help you a lot especially when you are travelling or need to open things using your mobile devices. At least they give basic need to read documents, spreadsheet and/or presentation.

  5. The biggest downfall with using either Google Docs or Zoho Writer is the processing speed. Zoho Writer usually works faster than Google Docs. However, Google seems to be more versatile for classroom situations.
